We support clear, public benchmarks for student achievement, and school boards that respond honestly when those benchmarks aren't met — instead of shifting blame or burying the data. We support transparent budgets so taxpayers can see exactly how education funding is spent and whether it's translating into better outcomes for kids. And we support fair, consistent processes for evaluating administrators and addressing underperformance at every level of the system.

Accountability also means school board elections that are competitive and well-informed, where candidates are judged on their record and their vision for our schools rather than name recognition alone.
